In 2004, Traci Szymanski shopped in Israel, searching in vain for the perfect souvenir – a tee-shirt that would not only make a fashion statement, it would also always remind her just how cool Israel was. Her experiences in Israel changed her life, and the last thing she wanted to come home with was a typical “touristy” tee-shirt that she would probably never wear. She decided to do something about it, and when she returned to the States she co-founded Get Sababa, Inc., a clothing line that she developed with her partner, Lea Engle, who had experienced something similar doing her souvenir shopping in Israel 25 years prior. Together they developed an apparel line designed to inspire pride in Israel.
“SABABA® means cool, groovy, totally awesome in Hebrew and Arabic modern slang.  This is the word found decorating the entire line of tees, tanks, baby and kids clothes, hats and wristbands. Traci is adamant that  “People don’t really view Israel as a cool country, given what is portrayed on the news.  We want people to know that Israel is a cool, happening place where life is vibrant.” SABABA® apparel does just that.

Get Sababa donates a portion of all profits to the Israel Defense Forces and Israeli Emergency Services.
